“Having been” is a collection about the relation between memories and garments and how we attach souvenirs to our clothes. It’s about not being able to forget, making us forever connected to the past.
Garments, as humans, can’t let go of their past, keeping the marks and signs of wear of the owner who wore and lived in them.
The starting point was my own wardrobe , I selected some of the pieces I was most attached to and who carried my most special memories. These pieces would represent the base of the collection.
From there I started a 3D deconstruction process to represent the connection between garment and the person who wears it.
