Name of collection : Maloka

I started my collection by questioning the past and the future, what we were, what we are, and what we are going to become. I researched the cyborg manifesto of Donna Haraway, which explores the boundary between social reality and science fiction to create an optical illusion that is a cyborg, a hybridization of social reality and fiction. 

This concept reminded me of Magic Realism, a key element that describes my country Colombia. I decided to focus on the conflict in my country between the diverse indigenous peoples and the militia, contrasting elements of each group, I imagined the possibility of a peaceful hybridization of the different factions which would create a new future avatar warrior translated into a fashion perspective who could preserve the traditional heritage and wisdom of Colombia and bring it to future society as a celebration of all that we were and are.
