POUBELLE OU BELLE, THAT’S A QUESTION
—For me, this collection is about chaos, and how to turn this chaos into another chaos in harmony. Furthermore, Paris, the city that makes you crazy, will make you feel like a “ poubelle”, and ” belle”.
This collection is based on the research about the relationship between me and Paris, and to create a sense of harmony that pulls all the elements together. It all starts from the curation of the city street scenes, objects, and mood, mostly reflecting a sense of humor. Other than that, I curated a series of art collection, to juxtapose with the streets scenes, trying to build a connection between them. Second handed garments from Guerrisol, objects from Saint Ouen, Le bon coin, even motorcycle covers or everyday fashion accidents from the streets, all merge into this collection.
It’s almost like a love letter to Paris, with madness and humor, as I’m craving to present this mentality of nomads and lunatics. Last but not least, I’m trying to present the fleeting moments of the city, just a transient glimpse when you see something on the streets or on a bike, occurring just within a second, which I think is the exact concept of fashion, and even of life, as just within a brief moment you could feel so connected and fulfilling.
