My work is a knitted exploration of identity and culture.

Being partly British I have always been fascinated by the idiosyncrasies of British culture which for me are perfectly symbolized by the extravagant dog shows that take place across the country.

My collection imagines the story of an eccentric elderly lady (who had been a famous model in the 60s) and her dog.  Together, they travel the length and breadth of the British Isles competing in dog shows and collecting prizes.

When Boris Johnson announces the lock-down they find themselves alone and isolated, deprived of dog shows, they gradually slip into madness. 

It becomes hard to discern where the lady stops and her beloved companion begins as 60s inspired gowns, poodle haircuts and multicolored rosettes merge.
